Tina Dickow is probably best known outside her native Denmark for her work with English trip-hop duo Zero 7. She provided vocals on two tracks; 'Home' and 'The Space Between'; on their 'When it Falls' album. But Tina is more than a vocalist. She's a fully-fledged singer-songwriter with three studio albums under her belt and another one on the way.
Since releasing her debut album 'Fuel' in 2001, Tina has established herself as one of Denmark's leading female artists. The following year, she hit the bright lights of London and began to produce more mature work - to critical acclaim. During her stay in England, Dickow wrote her second album 'Notes' - crammed with her ruminations on the loneliness and fear of being alone in London.
Back home in Denmark, they couldn't get enough. Tina picked up a "Composer of the year" award from music critics and a Danish Music Award for "Songwriter of the year".
It prompted Sony to offer her a record deal in 2004, only for it to be cancelled after the company merged with BMG. It didn't stop Tina releasing her third - and most successful - album to date. 'In the Red' went straight to number one in the Danish album charts and picked up a string of awards. Her forthcoming album 'Count to Ten' - which is being billed as her most personal effort yet - is eagerly anticipated in Denmark and beyond.
