Barenaked Ladies are a five piece pop-rock band hailing from Toronto, Canada.
Their very first recorded output, “The Yellow Tape” was a home-produced five-song cassette, which went Gold in their home country, triggering a do-it-yourself “indie” revolution in the 90’s. Over the next decade and a half, BNL have amassed an impressive catalogue, racking up seven studio albums, a live CD, and a Greatest Hits compilation by the year 2007. They are also pioneering new ways for their fans to hear their music releasing their last album of 29 songs "Barenaked Ladies Are Me" on flash USB memory stick.
Mixing socially conscious observations with crafty lyrics, BNL have crafted memorable hits like “Pinch Me,” “If I Had A Million Dollars,” “Brian Wilson,” and the Billboard Number One Hit, “One Week.”
During this period the band established a loyal fanbase, thanks to their energetic live shows and an inimitable sideways take on the world.
