Protect the people of Darfur

In response to attacks in 2003 by an armed group, the government of Sudan armed and supported Janjawid militias to forcibly displace people in Darfur.

Hundreds of thousands have been killed, thousands of women and girls raped, and millions displaced from their homes.

In May 2006, the Sudanese Government and one rebel faction signed an agreement.

But violence has actually increased, and the African Union Mission in Sudan (AMIS) is unwilling or unable to protect people effectively.

UN Peacekeepers NOW!

Over 23 000 people have already signed calling for 23 000 peacekeepers, but the international voice must be louder still: sign our worldwide petition and put your blue helmet on the map.
