Take Action and Win with Make Some Noise

"What do I hope for? That we are not forgotten. That you carry on supporting us. If we take each other by the hand, we will prevail."

Your actions are making an impact. In just a few weeks, you’ve sent over 2000 e-Cards to President Vicente Fox to demand justice for the hundreds of murdered and disappeared women of Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua City, Mexico.

This international pressure has played a crucial role in supporting the mothers on the ground and sustaining pressure on the federal government to act. A widely respected human rights activist, Guadalupe Morfin, is leading a Special Commission to oversee federal intervention in the unsolved tragedies in Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua City.

And yes, we’ve got prizes. Every participant who tells their friends to take action with a Jaguares / Ciudad Juarez e-Card will be entered in a draw for fabulous Make Some Noise T-shirts and CDs. The contest ends May 1 so help us spread the word to win.

But since El Presidente Fox’s inbox is overflowing, jammed and the message has been heard, we’re shifting the focus to the Governor of Chihuahua, demanding that the officials at the state level involved in negligence or omissions in past investigations are held to account.

So take a minute and turn up the volume on Governor José Reyes Baeza Terrazas to end impunity in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.
