Mexico's biggest rock band serves up a new Spanish version of Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth" with a mix of resonant guitars, ambient chords and Saul Hernandez's powerful vocals. In an age of mass media, advertising and disillusionment the song's subversive message has never been clearer.

"From a young age I wanted to understand what stability meant in the society I grew up in but I don't think we ever had it. So I immersed myself in the songs of my masters and "Gimme Some Truth" is one of those songs that fight for identity, for freedom, to be someone wherever you are living. And so interpreting that song from a different, though similar, perspective makes me feel part of John Lennon's message of creating a culture of awareness and fighting for it."
Saul Hernandez, singer of Jaguares
