HELP
1) What are the requirements for using this site?

This site is designed for users with:
• Internet Explorer 5.5 or later, Netscape 6 or later, Mozilla and Firefox 1.x, Opera, Safari, and other recent browsers
• Macromedia Flash Player 7.0 or above, which can be downloaded for free from http://www.macromedia.com/flashplayer
• A monitor with resolution of 1024x768 or greater
• Video will play better if you have a broadband internet connection, but versions for dialup modems are also available

2) What have you done to make this site accessible to users of different abilities?

The Make Some Noise site uses cascading stylesheets (CSS) to control most of the design.  This means that font sizes can be controlled using your browser controls, and colours and images can be completely disabled by turning off stylesheets in your browser (see your browser instructions for details of how to do this).  It is also compatible with text-only and speech-browser technology.

Images are used to label most pages, but alternative text is always provided.

The behind-the-scenes video content will not be usable for people unable to watch or hear video, but core features such as the purchase and activism features are designed to be accessible wherever possible.

3) How do I download a track?  What if I have problems with my download?

The Make Some Noise digital music store is provided by 7 Digital.

You will need
• Windows 98 or above with Windows Media Player 7 or above. Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 is recommended,
or
Mac OSX and iTunes 4 or above
• A valid credit card
• Within the UK, you can pay using your mobile phone

4) What will happen to my personal information after I download a track?

Make Some Noise is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its participants.  It will not be shared with any other party, and will only be used for the services you request.  If you opt-in to receive email updates from Make Some Noise, it is possible to unsubscribe at any time.  For more information, please see the Make Some Noise privacy policy: http://noise.amnesty.org/privacy

5) Can I play Make Some Noise music on my iPod?

Select the AAC audio format option when purchasing your music.  This format is compatible with Apple iPods .

6) What will happen once I sign up for updates?

Make Some Noise will only contact you about new releases, opportunities for action and a free, monthly e-magazine.  Note that signing up for updates does not mean you have become a member of Amnesty International, although we encourage you to sign up with your national section. 

7)  Will you keep my data secure?

Data security is one of our highest priorities and we do our utmost to protect the data you provide. When you place orders, our partners use secure servers. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.

8)  How can I get involved after taking an action?

Throughout the year, Make Some Noise will focus on making an impact with a different Amnesty International global campaigns.  After taking action, you will be alerted to other campaign activism opportunities at your national Amnesty International section, through a customized e-communications cycle with events, petitions, case studies and local activities related to the campaign.
